Photographer’s Note

A powerful storm is coming to Leonsberg over Paramaribo. It will wash every where in a ten minutes. You will hear an incredible noise first, noise coming from roofs while big, powerful raindrops hitting it; Because generally all roofs are covered by steel roof plate. I shoot this frame from Leonsberg’s small catwalk. On the scene there is private port that using for sand and garbage transportation.

Leonsberg : Located at northern part of Paramaribo. Closer to the Atlantic Ocean and at the beginning of beautiful Suriname River’s big mouth.

Wow, awesome shot. The brightness against the dark clouds it making it a very spooky shot. You almost feel like running of to home before the rain starts pooring down. Great capture. TFS

Hi Ertugrul. Almost unbelievable colours and light in this photo. You have composed this very well to give the sky most of the shot, and the 'finish' is excellent - sharp, clear and noise-free. Those deep blue-grey clouds on the horizon look so threatening. Fantastic shot.

Merhaba Ertugrul,
It is an impressive image, to see that so dark sky that it brings a great storm gives fear.
Your photo catches this threat perfectly, we almost can feel how approaches implacable the storm, and we can notice how people are going to look for a refuge.
You have fit very well exposure, leaving illuminated foreground well, still with solar light and shades, in contrast to the darkness of background.

very well captured shot here of a dramatic atmosphere. The sky is great and threatening at the same time. The light is fantastic and the colours are vivid and well saturated. I like the low horizon of the shot in order to have more of this sky. Well done! Tfs and best wishes.

Hi Etrugrul. That is certainly a ferocious storm coming your way! Also the river seems to be flowing very fast and has an angry appearance. This is a good composition to show the various aspects of weather in a rainforest area. Most interesting. TFS. Murray.
