Photographer’s Note

One of fisherman is unloading their boat. They just returned from abundant Atlantic Ocean coast. Fishes are immediately cleaned after they caught because extending freshness and creating more space in their icebox.

Suriname is an ocean and river country as a part of Amazon rain forest. Fish and fish products are main dish / food in many menus. Hindustani and Javanese Muslim people also another important fish consumer because some restrictions of other kind of meat in their religion.

I captured more frames while they are arriving to shelter and posting one of them in workshop.

It looks like the fishermen from your last shot were indeed lucky, and brought back a good catch with them. Great shot, very lively with movement, taken at the perfect moment.

Very nice shot with good colours and a showing a good catch. You did managed very well your shutter speed and the light is excellent. The guy is not interested at all on you/your camera and he is probably just spotting his next customer. Well done.

It's amazing how you catch him with that foot about to return to ground. It gives a nice feel of movement.
Apart from the theme itself (the documental aspect) and the technical perfection (sharpness, color, etc.) I confess I miss the impact of your other posts.

The guy is very well framed as he is bringing the catch ashore...
Wist to chooce f/2.8 to blur the background, a fine composition with good colours and details!

I consider this as a excellent document on Suriname fishermen. The movement of the man is very well in the shot. The subject is very well in focus.Could have cropped the top part which is a little distracting the main subject. But as a whole this is brillant shot. TFS

Hello Ertugrul.
It is a nice simple shot of the waterman unloading his catch. It is nice to see the candid nature of the picture. Good framing and I like the juxtapositiong of this man with the two in the background carrying other items. Good strong colors, interesting to see an ISO of 50 in what looks like an overcast light...could be wrong though.

Fishing, this work so beautiful and so hard, especially in people who need it to survive.
