Salt Flats of Moray
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Another shot of the salt flats of Moray. The salt collecting terraces date back to the Incan empire and are still in use todat. If you have eaten gormet "pink" salt, it came from this site.
The "road" to get down to this location was a switch back barely wide enough to be a goat trail. We hired a taxi driver to take us down to the mines. He drove 40-50 mph the whole way. Now that was a ride!
This was shot with my poor Pentacon that died on this trip. Aside from being over exposed, the last batch of UC which I saved for the trip I took tended to be extra grainy. As a result many of the color negatives needed alot of post tweeking in PS to get the look I wanted. This is one of the results. I am only now getting to the process of working through these negatives. Probably for the best since I am better skilled at dealing with them now. |

Hello Hubert,
You sound to have had a problem producing these shots but however you did it, this was worth the effort! The setting is magnificent! Lovely tones of colour and composition. The light appears to have been very strange and the clouds are are beginning to tumble down the hill! Weird but exciting!
Kind regards,
Bevc :-)
This is a great shot, Hubert! I love the point of view you've taken here and the definition is very good, too. Fascinating landscape and very well-presented.
Sarah
Great colors in the foreground. A little overexposed in the left of the sky, but you know that already. Thanks for the photo!
