[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On the way from Tarma to La Merced (i.e. going eastwards) one approaches the east side of the Peruvian Central Andes mountain range. It is really possible to watch how the mountains become smaller as one advances, and how the vegetation on them turns greener and denser.
Here, a few kilometers downhill from Carpapata, the fringes of the Amazon jungle begin to appear. The difference is evident (although not in this picture). Further downhill is the vegetation bigger and denser still. That will come in the next postings.
The picture did not need any polarizing filter, but the camera had it on.
