What a wonderfully different image. You have shown great imagination to even think about getting a shot like this. The rim of light round the 2 alpaca? is absolutely incredible.
I also like the way the light fades off to the right and gives a feeling that they are wandering into darkness. Superb work.

As you can tell I rather like this.

This is so wonderful the light through the fur as if it is tracing the animals. It looks like the magic you read in stories as a child. I like the light beyond the animals too. Great framing too. Well done.

Great idea. Wish the flare or mist in front of the alpacas wasn't there.

I first thought you did this in PS, but after reading the explanation note I now know this is hard work. Do you remember the shutter speed you used here? My experience with a few shots with animals is that they are always moving (the head, ears, neck or whatever) and some shutters speeds require a lot of patience in such lighting situation. Very good idea. I'll try this some day also.
