Photographer’s Note
I introduce today vicunas what you see on an another shot (take for my telezoom).
It was while going down again of the Collar of the Condor (5200m) that we had seen these splendid vicuna on a very mineral ground, lunar.
-----------
Some explanations on these animals: Vicuna (Vicugna vicugna) is a South American mammal, of the family of camelidae.
Vicugna vicugna is the only species of the Vicugna kind.
Vicuna has a height with the garrot from 0,7 to 1,10 meters and it is long 1,40 to two meters, which makes of it smallest of camélidés.
Its weak weight varies between 40 and 60 kilogrammes.
Vicuna has a long and muscular neck and a fine muzzle. Its short tail is fawn-coloured on the top and white or beige below. Its ears are long, pointed and fine, its legs, long and fine also. Its back, its neck, its head and the front of its legs are of fawn-coloured color, contrary to its chest and behind of its legs which them are of white color.
Its peeling is consisted of the finest fibre after silk. Its breast piece decorates long white hairs which can measure up to 30 centimetres length.
The lower incisors of vicuna are very long and it push continuously, as in the rodents.

Salut Philippe,

A+
