Photographer’s Note
Day 8 - Going around the Uros Islands hiding their traditional boat made of totora we also found out that modern canoes are being more and more popular among the islanders. It seems the totora ones remains as a touristy attraction while the wood ones are used for the islanders daily tasks. Other kind of modern appliances such as solar energy and radios also can be found on the Islands (don't know if TV has made it's way already...) On the WS we can see one of the islands with its solar energy system.
For more information about the islands, please check my previous post.
Here I used antinoise tool of PS Elements to overcome the noise problems. I also wanted to experiment a more fluid contours to give a painting like aspect to the shot, so I used 100% noise reduction. For comparison I put the original shot on the WS. Which one do you prefer?

A foto do WS é impressionante! Texto sempre bom! Abraço! Miguel.

Hi Flavia,
What a scenic view of the Uros Islands and you captured it beautifully. I have not heard of totoras before, and now I know. A superb composition with good colors and clarity. Best wishes.

Olá Flavia,
A luz e cores estáo maravilhosas. Parece que seu 'accidente' com o ISO acabó fazendo com que você experimentase na hora do PP... e o resultado é ótimo!!!
Un abrazo desde Sampa,
Carlos
