Photographer’s Note
This is a bit closer view of the salt mines of Moray in Peru. These salt collecting terraces date back to the Incan empire and are still in use todat. If you have eaten gormet "pink" salt, it came from this site.
The "road" to get down to this location was a switch back barely wide enough to be a goat trail. We hired a taxi driver to take us down to the mines. He drove 40-50 mph the whole way. Now that was a ride!
This image has been sharpened, contrast adjusted, and slightly saturated.

I guess the mine is huge and we could not measure the size in this picture. But an interesting man made design.

You got better illumination than when I was there, and with a wider lens, you have the whole mine in your picture. It really makes me remember how it is, with all the shades of brown and the pans at different levels.

A fascinating image of this working landscape Hubert - a good perspective on it and a good note too.
best wishes Kev
