Photographer’s Note
This is yet another shot from my mad dash in the rain at Machu Picchu. This has been curve and level adjusted. I also SLIGHTLY burned the highlights on the buildings to help tame them. If you want to get shots like this, you have to visit Machu Picchu during the rainy season. It is dry pretty much the rest of the year.

I love the contrast and the focused foreground. I was lucky to capture a double rainbow recently too but seeing one at my favourite spot in the world (Machu Picchu) is a real treat:)
Cheers for sharing,

Hi Hubert,
What a privilege you'had. Going to Machu Picchu...WOW.
It's one of my dream travel. This composition is great. A wonderful mix of textures. The rainbow against the dark background and the foggy weather creates a very nice and misty ambince.
Great POV.
Well done

The view is very charming, Hubert.
The partial view of the rainbow in the BG adds to it.

Hi Hubert,
I've seen many images of this powerfully evocative complex....most follow a familiar pattern of looking at the site from the entrance or from the Hitching Post. Your image is quite unique...not for the rainbow...which is okay....but for the angle at which you took the shot with the mountains faded into the background.

Another wonder of nature, especially the rainbow and the stone walls in this picture are distinctive.

Very nice...Machu Picchu is on my list of places to visit someday. I love the double rainbow that you captured and I like the framing of the tree as well. I think that you could have cropped in a little tighter on the tree and mountain and you could use some saturation in the image as well. I'll post a workshop to show what I mean.
Very nice image...well done.
