Photographer’s Note
I've just returned from Peru and was awestruck by what an amazingly diverse country it is. You see everything from desert sand dunes in Huacachina, the Amazon near Iquitos, the high Andes around Huaraz, and the famous Inca trail and Machu Picchu close to Cusco.
This photo was taken in the Sacred Valley, very close to Moray.
Many people say that this area of Peru reminds them of Colorado. Count me among them. That's one of the first things that came to my mind as well.
This photo was shot from the window of a moving van, so obviously a high shutter speed was necessary. I also shot at f/16 for maximum depth of field.

Hi Todd,
The first time i saw this picture i thought 'countryside wearing fatigues?'...:) Nice DOF. Love the mountains behind giving a nice contrast to the brown in front.
Great shot

Hi Todd,
Very nice andean landscape. I love the patchwork fields and the nice lighting on the mountains which is not easy to get. If I would change anything it would be cropping a bit off the sky.
Cheers

Wow! Amazing contrasting colors with the mountain backdrop. Well captured photo especially out of a moving vehicle.
