In the chapel within the Cathedral of Peru's capital Lima (first on the right side) you can find names of Spaniards who accompanied Francisco Pizzaro and basically conquered Peru/South America. Isn't that incredible - those 14 ignorant men overthrew such well organized, advanced kingdom as Inca empire! Hard to believe from today's point of view.

It is really an interesting picture and your comment showing how big influence the religion has on peoples acts. The Inca's Emperor Atahualpa saw in his dreams a man with blond beard and believed he was the god. When Pizaro appeared, he had the same blond beard as the god in his dreams. Therefore Pizaro had such a power over the Incas and managed to get Atahualpa into a trap and then it was already too late. Then he used the south part of the empire as Atahualpa did somethimg unpopular towards them and they accepted Pizaro again as a god, who came to help them to their victory. It was a said end of one interesting culture. Ignorance unfortunately always won throughout the history over developped cultures.
