This shot makes me think of those landcruiser/jeep television commercials.....

The white is not snow but desert sand. This shot is taken looking down a sand dune to my transportation and the expanse of space beyond.

This was taken near the desert town of Huanchina, located somewhere between Paracas and Nasca. It's a small town consisting of a few streets situated on a small oasis. From Huanchina it is possible to take a dune-buggy ride on the desert dunes. The experience is somewhat like being on a roller coaster, but without the benefit of tracks!

Taken in colour, converted to BW in PS and some noise removed.

Looks like another planet. Or a field of clouds, from above. The car is unreal : is it huge or small ?

A very much unusual pic.I too thought first time it may be snow.. Ha ha ha.. but after ur note i understood that.. A very good experiment and a nice result..

I thought sincerely that it was snow! The illusion is good and the effect very strong. With a gray sky, I would have also chosen the black and white. If the sky were of a beautiful blue, I would have liked to see contrast with white sand. Well done.

When I look at it for the first time, I did not realice it was on B/W. The micro car is absolutely lost in this huge amount of snow. The footprints are asking us, ¿has the driver leave the car?

Hi Karina!

A wonderfull place! I have been there aswell, and the oasis is located in Ica... I know since I have been wanting to visit this weird museum there, and that is what brought me to Huanchina... I am still in good contact with some of the locals there...:) It is a funny little place...

The picture is very nice, and almost unrecognisable to me, since the grayscale I think... I love it! Space and beyond! :) Take care! Ramon

Really nice shot Karina! It does remind me of a jeep commercial. I really like the trails of footsteps on the bottom of the photo. I hope you rented the dune buggies when you were in Huanchina. I hear they are the cheapest in the s.america.

Hi,
Amazing BW shot. The jeep seems so small and fragile in this desert looking like its got lost in the sea of clouds. The footprints and the sands formation making it even more interesting to the whole scene.
Well done.

Very interesting shot. I was intrigued by that thing, which became clear when I read your note. Lunar landscape indeed!

Are you in constant hunt for not terestrial landscapes? If you are then you are very sucesfull ,this is like some other planet landscape and some lunar transporter.
EXCELLENT Karina

Hi Karina, this is almost unrealistic scene. It raises a same question in every viewer's mind: it is possible?
Well, it is a shocking shot. The snow mixes with the cloud on the ground. The sky makes us back to the earth. The foot prints make us to have the feeling of it is not too far away. This is a great photo. I like it very much.

Yeah, when I first looked at it I thought you had staged this with a miniture car, but you didn't Great pic, I love the footsteps too.

Hi Karina!
The picture is very nice. Goods You have made B/W. Very soft tone and contrast figure!
I salute cordiall.

wow! great photo.well the first impression is that of snow but the track marks towards the right(that made by the wind or a car) clearly shows that it is sand.the white sands and the jeep complement each other in this photo.keep it up.

Very nice. I like the way your tracks disappear behind the curve of the dune.

When I saw it I started humming "walking on the moon"...

It's definitely an interesting picture, showing how small we humans are... I still don't know what to think about B/W, because it's just too white for being desert... it looks somewhat outworldish for that and I think I like it better if it looks natural... though definitely an interesting idea...
