Hi Cristian,
A high pov in portraits is always a bit tricky, often it just "looks down" on people, BUT here it really works. There is good and positive interaction between you and your 'captured' women. There's a big smile at the back, and - more importantly - also the first woman, though a bit shy, reacts positively to your presence.
The corner of the house and the play of light and shadow going on there, is another plus. A minus - imho - might be the heavy saturation particularly of the reds, but I'm not sure there.
Great post, thanks for sharing.

i find this scene most "tempting" to get a top photo... i just think that you created a "half-pregnant" situation here: this photo is either too dark or too bright... slight darneking would make for a moody, secretful street scene... brightening it - would change the mood into something more "obvious" but reveal some more details...
best, j.

Cristian: a superb image - with success in taming the overwhelming dark tones. Great complementary composition with your friends here - and their expressions top it off. best, c

Beautiful opposed smiles.
Very interesting and unusual composition.
I like the dark atmosphere in the shadow and some elements of light.
Best regards. Grazyna.

Hi Cristian, interesting composition from the Island of Taquile. I know how difficult it is to make any photo of the woman there. Anyway, I did not succeed, in an instant they covered the face. Strong colours, nice lights and shadows. I wonder what they have in the basket.

it´s a pity you did not write about the trip - you did not the details. on the other hand, it´s so nice to imagine the experience you might have had in this corner of the globe...
i look at them and I want to know more. colorful, worn out door and walls (it seems there is not a roof!) and they´re smiling and they´re so dramatic!

I like this, Cristian--the way they both smile in the same way suggests they share some secret they're keeping from you the photographer. The POV is ideal, showing the convergence of two paths without showing what they lead to--that would be another secret of the locals. Were you standing on something? Regards, Ken.
