(Series on my Trip to PERU - South America - STREET DOWNTOWN PUNO - From September 6th to 22nd, 2007 - # 007 !)

PUNO I - The city of PUNO is by the TITICACA LAKE. I stayed there for a couple of days to enjoy the area, specially influenced by the lake. Here's a typical street downtown that city. Although it looks sort of messy, scary at first sight, I felt pretty safe while staying there and walking around! I love seeing the local colors while traveling!

A WS version shows with more details the means of transportation in PUNO. Another one is practically the same, a bit more inclusive though.

Está muito bonita. Faz lembrar as cidades que vi no Chile, com toda aquela confusão de cabos eléctricos. É um PdV excelente com as montanhas secas lá ao fundo.

Le bel éclairage met bien en valeur cette belle scène de rue, si on fait abstraction des fils électriques mais j'ai déjà vu pire. Bonne composition et superbes couleurs.

I like the way you put everything onj the frame, distand and far objects, to give the idea of the chaos of this street.
The cables running in all directions add confusion, and the result is very nice

quando conheci pisco achei que era a cidade mais feia que já havia visto, depois mudei de idéia ao conhecer puno e tornei a mudar de idéia a conhecer juliaca, que agora detém o título na minha opinião. Além da feiura, o que mais me impressionou ali foi a bela catedral e o número de lojas de revelação de fotos, acho que nem sampa é párea para puno neste quesito. aqui a sua foto dá uma idéia do caos urbano e arquitetônico da cidade, um bom flagrante do dia dia, uma viagem de detalhes. bem registrado

I like the messiness of the powerlines and the advertisements - and there is so much going on in this narrow street. Then beyond is a cluster of brown houses and the barren steep hillside acts as an interesting backdrop. Tfs, Marlene
