Photographer’s Note

This is the mainroad of Purto Maldonado after a shower of rain.
Puerto Maldonado(36000 inhabitants,250 m.high) is situated at the confluence of the rivers;Madre de Dios and Tambopata.From here you can start organized tours to the jungle.Many tour operators offer 2 and 3 day trips to several lodges in the rainforest.You can book them also in Cusco from where I arrived by plane.
There is also a track to Cusco but only for trucks.They need for the 530 kilometers 50-55 hours!!!
In the rainy season sometimes one week.

Guten Morgen Andreas!
Ein Foto mit einer besonderen Stimmung, die sehr gut "rüberkommt". Auffällig sind die vielen Freileitungen, die wir ja nicht mehr kennen. Irgendwie sieht es US-amerikanisch aus ... oder? So etwas sieht man nicht alle Tage!

After rain feeling.
There is many kind of light source in your picture. Normal sun evening light, electrical tubes in shops gives different color temperature of light than street lights.

Rainy, moving dog is maybe your pictures main element? If you get little bit light for dog (photoshopping), its going better out of your picture.

But i like this little town evening atmosphere.

Hi Andreas,
Thanks to the rain it looks very clean and bright with great detail in the distance and sky. The electric lights bring in good detail on the streets and the dog adds really somthing to it in the foreground.

Fine morning (or evening) light on the wet pavemenmt. Good catch of the tropical and Latin American atmosphere so typical for little town like this one.

What more interesting image of this street. It has great depth, the perspective and the angle are excellent. I like that atmosphere of small city, with aerial electrical cables, with dogs wandering by the street, with tranquillity.
A good frame, good definition, light and colors.
The sky is wonderful.

The perspective of the street takes our eye to the end and the lovely pink glow in the sky. The wet streets have the light reflections which also give the image a nice shine. Good note too.
