Photographer’s Note

Returning from my trip to the upper jungle, I stopped at Carpapata, where it is possible to see how the vegetation changes from a "normal" andean to a more denser "jungle" type. Well, that is what some tour operators said, but it is possible certainly to see some change in the shades of green. Here I am depicting the "jungle" type. Although certainly not as dense or tall as that closer to the real jungle.
The road to the right is the highway going eastwards to the jungle. It is a paved road with two tracks, one for each direction. The one bifurcating from it at the centre of the picture is a dusty road leading to an hydroelectric very close that uses the water from the river to the left. I have tried to find the name of this river but haven't found it yet.
The bottom-right corner is without plants because a landslide that certainly happened a short time ago wiped it off.
