Photographer’s Note
Just a small quiet scene taken in the small quiet provincial capital of Huancavelica (pop 30,000) right in th middle of the Central andes and one of the most forgoten regions in Peru. Peru has three regions, the coast, the mountains and the jungle, the wealthiest region is the coast, several areas in the andes have been neglected by the wealthier regions and seem to have been frozen in time.

Bonsoir Daniel

Yes, time seems to stand still there, Daniel; the lady by the large wooden door in her little Andean hat seems to have a siesta. The feeling reminds me of Gabriel Garcia Marquez's world... something from there, under the scorching sun, by the little store at siesta time.
A very nice slice of daily life. (Perhaps just a touch oversharp?)
:-)
saludo,

Hoal Daniel.

Enhorabuena.

Hi Daniel,
The laid back quietude is so palpable in this photo. I like the lighting and shadow effects, as well as the contrast between the ornate doors and the person sitting humbly at the entrance. The wares for sale are similarly humbly presented. I like this shot very much.

hola daniel,
if i were supposed to imagine a scene from high andes place - it would be like this exactly;
i love this image all the way - so much of a tranquility, timelessness (or actually not caring much about time);
very nice and interesting,
best wishes, jerzy
