Photographer’s Note
This is the train called "el tren macho". It covers the 130 - 140 km distance between Huancayo and Huancavelica in about 6 hours. It is made up of the locomotive, 3 passenger wagons and a couple of cargo ones.
It goes through some very amazing scenery including valleys with walls of mountains. Finally arriving in the cute city of Huancavelica which seems to be cut off from the rest of the world.

Salut Daniel,
did you take this from the train somewhere in the tail of it?
Great capture. Looks like from a film scene.

Hi Daniel,
Interesting POV from a moving train and you captured it at a nice moment. It showed the interesting part of the train and the bend is well positioned. There are good lighting and colours. Excellent shot!! Regards.

Salut Daniel.

Hi Daniel,
Nice view from the window. It has an old genuine look to it, and there is also a guy sitting in the open wagon...
Thanks,
Magnus

Bonjour Daniel
I like the superb, diagonal pov. Not easy to do on a moving train. Good sharpness & lighting. Bon travail!

Salut Daniel,
Moi j'aime bien les trains :-))
Tu as bien capte le point de vue en utilisant la courbe, image bien profonde et nette ou je remarque que la loco est peinte aux couleurs nationales !
Bonne journee,

Just been flickign through your Peru gallery daniel, you have some interstign shots and very intersting notes. I like train journeys and would love to see the inside on this one. Good sharpness, I assume the train wasnt moving too fast.

Hi Daniel,
altough the shot is taken from a wagon window is really well composed. Also the scenery is nice. Seems to be in a movie. Great shot and excellent note.

Hi Daniel,
A nice shot, with an informative note...
I have to admit I am some what jealous. At the age of 29 I took my first real (locomotive) train ride while in Thailand on the 'Death Railway' (Bridge over the River Kwai etc.). Unfortunately due to my negligence- I accidentally deleted all the shots aboard the train. I like to think that I had some good shots like this... haha
Well done Daniel!

Hello Daniel,
j'aime bien cet image avec ce train qui nous emmène je ne sais pas trop où.
Bon point de vue.
6 heures pour 140 km, c'est pas le TGV ! ;-)
Au moins ça te permet de photographier les paysages tranquillement.

Hello Daniel
nice compo, i like the way you framed it and the moment you chose to shoot ... at the right time. A good perspective and motion led by the railway. good DOF with the first wagon out of focus. The color of the locomotive (red) gives a good dynamism.
A nice series about Peru, thanks for sharing

Good moment to get the train in a curve on the side to the landscape with a very special atmosphere of light and colors.

As a train buff I would love the chance to see some of these trains that go through the South american mountains. This shows off the scenery the line runs through and the dilapidated red of the train adds a little spalsh of colour in the parched landscapr
