Photographer’s Note

Huancavelica is one of Peru´s poorest and remotest cities. It is located in the middle of the central Andes, a 5 hour train ride from Huancayo and at least hours drive from anywhere else.

Due to modernization that has gone on in the last 15 years, peruvian provinces are becopming wealthier and with that comes all the trappings of pop culture. Internet shops for peruvians, not foreigners are popping up everywhere.

Sorrym light conditions in the andes are harsh, plus I am only now getting familiarized with my new camera.

I like the way you catch the moment the boy is walking like no one is watching him,the perfect position os his legs indicate movement.I also like the colour corner behind him.

Good informative shot Daniel.
Colorful and clear (as a pic and with a lot of sayings).
The same problem we are facing here in India. Poor villagers (only in the physical sense but not philosophically) of the remotest village is not having proper education or elctricity but they have got the taste of Cola. This imitation is dangerous in my belief.

Hi Daniel, The strong colors caught my eyes. I like the attitude of these two. The woman seems oblivious of her surroudings while the determined pace and proud face of the boy really stand out. I probably would have prefered to have some space in front of the boy.

Bon petite question le sigma 18-125 tu l'as acheté en plus de ton 350D et que penses tu de cet objectif???
est il mieux que l'objectif vendu avec le 350D??

Its very compact one that one, i have checked once, was so small in my big hands..lol.

No matter if you use a digital one or not, i can say that this is your picture.. Good composition as usual.. Lovely colours..

Hello. Nice composition. Interesting colours and oryginal light. I like places and street like your this. The most oryginal for me title here is "Peru posible" and contrast. good luck

Très belle scène de rue au Pérou.
L'enfant, la grand-mère et les USA (symbolisé par Coca Cola qui est partout!) donne une bonne composition à cette image pleine de couleurs et de contrastes.
