"Crazy Train" Photo

Photographer’s Note

This picture was taken from the train going from Huancavelica to Huancayo. The nature surrounding the railway line is beautiful. The train is called "El Tren Macho" ("The Macho Train" in English). The train is quite old and the railway is bumpy, so it's a lot of fun to travel with it :-P

The train was open at the end, so I could just stand on the little steps at the sides of the last coach and lean out to take pictures of the beautiful landscape. A bit dangerous technique but very useful to take a picture like this one here ;-)

Salut Thomas, sympa ta gallerie et notamment tes photos péruviennes, c'est toujours un plaisir pour moi de voir des clichés de cet endroit du monde qui me fascine et queje ne vais pas tarder a aller visiter. Ce cliché est d'une grande qualité, prise d'un train, ce genre de clichés offre des perspectives intéressantes, notamment, si tu avais ralenti le temps de pause, tu aurais pu avoir un peu plus de dynamisme au premier plan avec l'effet de la vitesse.
C'est très chouette

I found this picture of yours that's pretty similar to mine!
Similar, but not equal. You have here different colors, less bright, but just as beautiful. I also love the POV taken from the train and showing the curve it has to do!

very nice view. the curving train is perfect and your POV gives a distinct feel of 'presence' (of being on the train with you). it's a shame, DOF could not bee greater (you'd lose speed by narrowing down the aperture).
