PORTE DU SOLEIL IV
PORTALE/PORTONE/PORTA DEL SOLE IV
This was one of the places the Inca People controlled the entrance of other men into their sacred city! It offers a 180 degree view of the Machu Picchu Ruins. Most trackers try to get there in time to see the sun as it rises early in the morning (those who have walked along the Inca Trail)! Although I had read lots about that place before getting there, the INTIPUNKU was a local hint! Gosh, I had to choose between that or climbing up to the top of the UAYNA PICCHU (the most famous peak around those ruins, the most photographed one). Having just one day around, having gone the day before to the top of the PUTUKUSI MOUNTAIN (hard work!!!) and seen post cards from the top of that peak that's know all over the World, I ended up deciding going to the SUN GATE and didn't regret a single moment! Maybe next time I'll take the other option!

Not having been to Machu Picchu yet I can only speculate but it surely seems to me that climbing up here to shoot the city in the saddle of the mountain is an utterly amazing capture. As I have said before you work takes us there not just presents canned wide shots of the city. Great work, can't wait to see more.

Bom-dia Neyvan,
Bravo.
Passa um bom dia
Cordialmente

Linda foto.

Hi Neyvan,
an impressive view of the machu picchu ruins and a very good POV chosen for taking theme. You get a real good overview at which heights the inca people build the city. I'm sure that some day I'll also stay on that point..
Cheers,
Edi
