Series on my Trip to PERU - South America - The MACHU PICCHU Ruins seen from the INTIPUNKU - From September 6th to 22nd, 2007 - # 017 !
INTIPUNKU I - SUN GATE I - PORTAL DO SOL I - PUERTA DEL SOL I - It's the end of the Inca Trail, where the tourists and visitors have the first sight of MACHU PICCHU! I did the opposite way, I was in Machu Picchu and walked up to the INTIPUNKU, having a pretty different view from the ruins, Huayna Picchu (the most known mountain around the area), the Urubamba river and the winding road that take us all up there!

Hi, Neyvan.
Incredible display, this is truly Nature at its very best! As for your picture : an instant classic, one that portrays this unique location in a most truthful way. Hope I'll be able one day to hike on the same trail, just like you did. Superb job, TFS! Have a great day, my friend. I'll be seeing you. Abraços,
Fulvio.

NeyVan, your views of these Andean sights is way better that I have seen else where. From your photo I have a sense of the context of the land, this one showing the road and the ruin and the neighboring hills is wonderful. There is a similar, but not so informative, that first brought me to TE more than 2 years ago. I was looking for a shot of the hotel at Machu Picchu and found it here
Great Capture.

Great shot of this mystic place.
I love your POV and the composition with these serpentines and the view down at the river.A great shot, but it looks a bit oversharpened at my monitot.

Hi Neyvan
One of the most intriguing places on earth, I think we still do not know the whole story about this place. Wonderful high POV and colours, a tad oversharpened for my taste, I could leave tomorrow to see this place again.

A vista é simplesmente espectacular e as famosas ruinas parecem minúsculas vistas desse lado.

Hi Neyvan,
What a panorama here! Everything is so clear visible - the machu Picchu ruins, winding road, mountains, Urubamba and maybe even train. I was not in Intipunku, nice to see this place on your photo. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Ney,
A wild and impressive landscape is well depicted!
That serpent road is a real eye-catcher and it is interesting to see the Machu Picchu from a different point of view...
The scene is well framed and presented in a balanced composition with good details!
Greetings,

Hello Ney
Breathtaking view, from a place I have not seen MP.
I like the depth of the colors, vibrant.
Good idea to have walk up there.
I do agree about the oversharpening mostly visible in the foreground.
To avoid this, after you did your sharpening, go to Edit, click FAde unsharp mask, in the mode menu, choose luminosity and click OK. This way, you will apply the sharpening on the light onstead of the edges. It is more forgiving.
This is under photoshop, should be similar with other programs
Have a good week

Ola Neyvan
One of my dream places (apart from the Iguazu of course...by the way have you seen the film called the Blue Diamond by Werner Herzog...amazing documentary on the Iguazu).
This is a different view of the Machu Picchu...the serpentine road makes great viewing. The sharpness and light management is excellent, makes this a beauty! Thanks for this different picture from this place, already shown millions of times!
Best Regards
