(Series on my Trip to PERU - South America - PISAC RUINS - VALLE SAGRADO/SACRED VALLEY - CUSCO - From September 6th to 22nd, 2007 - # 010 !)

RUÍNAS DE PISAC - PISAC RUINS - In the VALLE SAGRADO/SACRED VALLEY, the ruins of PISAC are pretty similar to Machu Picchu, but much smaller and in a much more arid area, pretty close to the city of Cusco. To visit it, one leaves the small town of PISAC in the valley (where one can also visit a typical peruvian market) and goes up (usually by bus) to the mountains around where the ruins are. Then, one can walk around the site, full of terraces and ruins of temples and other buildings, all of them made of stone!

Two WS versions: a square shaped one and another one that shows the beginning of the tracks around the PISAC ruins!

PISAC IN THE LOCAL LANGUAGE MEANS "PARTRIDGE".
(Pisac = Perdiz, em português)
