(Series on my Trip to PERU - South America - PISAC RUINS - VALLE SAGRADO/SACRED VALLEY - CUSCO - From September 6th to 22nd, 2007 - # 010 !)
RUÍNAS DE PISAC - PISAC RUINS - In the VALLE SAGRADO/SACRED VALLEY, the ruins of PISAC are pretty similar to Machu Picchu, but much smaller and in a much more arid area, pretty close to the city of Cusco. To visit it, one leaves the small town of PISAC in the valley (where one can also visit a typical peruvian market) and goes up (usually by bus) to the mountains around where the ruins are. Then, one can walk around the site, full of terraces and ruins of temples and other buildings, all of them made of stone!
Two WS versions: a square shaped one and another one that shows the beginning of the tracks around the PISAC ruins!
PISAC IN THE LOCAL LANGUAGE MEANS "PARTRIDGE".
(Pisac = Perdiz, em português)

Hi Neyvan,
Wonderful view. Mountain slopes are very steep there and even building such a narrow path has required a lot of work. Those terraces are something I haven't seen before. Fascinating.

Hi Ney. Incredible POV and catching part of the path in the corner really gives us the idea of how high and steep the terrain is. The terraces seem to be in excellent condition.Restored? Regards. Klaudio.

Hello Ney,
A fine view over this beautiful mountain landscape. The steep twisting track makes a very good lead line down to to the terraced area, which is depicted in excellent detail. The depth is superb as is the light. All in all, a fine composition with good natural colours and excellent clarity.

Hello Ney.
What a spectacular setting for these ruins, and a rather narrow and risky mountain path for the visitors to use. Your viewpoint is superb, looking along the zig-zagging pathway, across the terraces towards the mountains. So well composed and a very good exposure. Great photo and good note.
Regards,
Andrew

Ney, this is a very fine photograph, it shows the country side and the effort required to make this trek. I like the square version better because the detail shown is greater and the crop does not detract from the overall shot. Great work.

Ciao Neyvan,
in effetti a prima vista mi era sembrato Machu Picchu, poi ho letto la nota e visto che si tratta di Pisac.
Come Machu Picchu, anche questo luogo trovo che sia affascinante e la tua foto lo mostra nel modo migliore.
Well done!

Hi Neyvan, the way to Pisac... I remember well precisely this piece of the road. I have fear of hight so in this place I felt unsafe and my knees were trembling... Splendid photo showing terraces and the ruins in the distance. Thanks for sharing

Hi Neyvan,
what a wonderful view on this narrow path! For me, living in the low lands of Northern Europe, this is really a breathtaking impression. I like your POV giving me an excellent idea of this fascinating place on our planet. TFS!

The hikers add scale to the massive size of the mts. I like the repetition of the contoured fields along the terraces. Good sharpness & high pov. Tfs!

Hi Ney
Twice I walked this path, always a pleasure to do, as we come close to experience the nature of Peru.
Your point of view emphasizes the sheer drop to the valley, just a ribbon of a path to keep us safe.
A good shot which reminds me of good souvenirs.

Cá estou eu outra vez, Neyvan...Também me lembro bem deste local. O caminho vertiginoso é fabuloso e o facto de teres apanhado os degraus a brilhar sob o sol resultou num efeito de grande beleza fotográfica. Muito bem.
um abraço,
ricardo
