Photographer’s Note

Last day of our trek (see travelogue) The sun is just rising over the mountains. The altitude is only 4200 meters but the temperature is still chilly... One of our horses has probably found the best way to get some heat from the sun...
The mountain behind is Ausangate (6384 meters)

Amazing picture! I am viewing all your photos from peru and they are breathtaking. you are a gifted photographer, and have showed me parts of peru i'm sad i missed. what an amazing journey you take us through these pictures. great composure & alignment in this picture, its what i'd consider a perfect shot. What camera do you use?

Bonjour Georges, j´ai aimé le Perou beaucoup et en voyant cet photo j´ai desiré de retourner bientôt. Tu a pris la grandeur de cette jeunes montagnes. Merci et mil fois pardon pour mon fraçais.
