Photographer's Note

This is a worker at the salt mines of Maras, Perú. There is an underground flow that brings saline waters that they pour in this ponds that they live to dry on the sun and then collect the salt. It is believed they've been doing it from Inca's times. The different colors of the ponds reflect the different moments they've been filled, the newer brown, the older and dryer blue. I took the shot from the top of the stairs you have to climb down to arrive there.
