Photographer’s Note
The reward for 3 days of trekking through the Andes is this view early on day 4 of the classic Inca trail.
An hour or so after leaving the Winaywayna campsite you reach the Sun Gate (Intipunku) for your first sight of Machu Picchu in the valley below.
We sat here for around 20 minutes watching the view change from Machu Picchu shrouded in low clouds and the shadow of the mountains to blue skies and glorious sunshine. Of the numerous photos I took this is my favourite, the ruins only partly visible and the lone tree of the central plaza just breaking through the clouds.

A very good picture of this famous place. Here the clouds really play with the lndscape.
Maybe you could slightly enhance the contrast, just a little bit.
