(Series on my Trip to PERU - South America - The MACHU PICCHU Ruins seen from the INTIPUNKU - From September 6th to 22nd, 2007 - # 022 !)
INTIPUNKU III - SUN GATE III - PORTAL DO SOL III - PUERTA DEL SOL III - It's the end of the Inca Trail, where the tourists and visitors have the first sight of MACHU PICCHU! I did the opposite way, I was in Machu Picchu and walked up to the INTIPUNKU, having a pretty different view from the ruins. In this specific image, one can see the very end of the trail as one looks towards the mountains it goes thru!

Wonderful view over a very beautiful and special place. I have been to Machu Picchu, but was too lazy for the Inka trail and took the train and then the bus up to MP. I want to go back there again, this is one of the most marvellous places on earth. This view is different, tfs!

Hello Ney. Thank you for your kindness in visiting my photos on trek and for sharing your thoughts. I have a wonderful love of the outdoors and have a special flair for mountain scenery. This capture is excellent in lighting and setting. Can I take a trail and walk right up to those peaks? Thanks for sharing.

salut ney

Hi, Neyvan.
Absolutely impressive, what a view! Vastness and majesty interact with the location's mystique, thanks to the outstanding angle you got in this one. Showing us some of those ancient stones on the far right is an absolute winner, the whole shot seems to radiate from there. Wonderful job, both technically and in terms of atmosphere, TFS! Have a good day, my friend. I'll be seeing you. Abraços,
Fulvio.

Hi Neyvan. You have been busy while i was traveling through Malaysia. Hard to decide which image to pick, but i ended up choosing this one because of the POV and the lovely light. great contrast between the sharply defined wall and the distant, hazy mountains. Original approach to a famous spot. Regards. Klaudio.
