Photographer’s Note
Kristaps' llama shot, dedicated to me (blush), inspired me to post this shot of a llama. As I was remarking to him, it is difficult to impossible to make a llama do something it doesn't want to do (at least it is for us gringos), but this one condescended to pose for me (and also did me the favor of not spitting at me, as they are prone to do). I was standing on the level just underneath him when I took this shot.
Technical: Scanned from slide by ScanCafe. Some sharpening, lots of brush and burn work (the llama was a bit overexposed).

Oh, boy... so sweet, what else can I say!
Now, there's this lama living at a farm not far from Amsterdam, a lama in The Netherlands doesn't make any sense but there again The Netherlands don't make any sense either... In summertime I often bike along that field and I've been trying to photograph him CLOSELY for a few years now... Man, the last time I was there he spat right on my camera... a big GOB, right there, hehehehe! Very, extremely, freaking accurate! Have a good day, see ya soon.

Hello, Daniel!
These animals are great! But if you insist them to do what they don't want, they may spit on you... This one seems to have just been under the rain, but it's beautiful! Good composition with the approximation!

seems that TE is going though a "llama-phase", does this all mean I have to go home and try to find MY version to contribute to the collective fascination with these animals? when I was working in the Zoo, I was dealing with all kinds of llamas a lot, and according to me their IQ rests comfortably in single-digit numbers. there's something of that in the look of this particular animal, don't you think?
other than that - I'm very impressed with the quality of the scan, all the details are just perfect, every single eye-lash is visible. I bet the llama would approve.
regards,
Kristine

Hi Dan
A good job of PP as we can see lots of detail in his coat and the face is nice and sharp.

He has nothing to be haughty about as he seems to be having a 'bad hair day' ;D Well taken shot from your archives with appropriate DOF and well scanned.

See forum (under 'Upload limit is currently flawed') There is a problem with TE. Today's renewal and ability to add new smiles has not been set up.

Hi Dan,
You manage to capture quite a regal pose from the handsome llama.
His long wirey coat is seen in all its glorious detail.
