Photographer’s Note
This is the last picture of Macchu Picchu I promise. This was not taken at the end of a gruelling climb up Putucusi, but it could have been.

Très belle image,
J'aime la composition de votre photo, les montagnes en arrière plan qui touchent les nuages.
On a l'impression d'être au sommet du monde.

Beautiful postcard! It couldn't get any sharper and has deep tones. I think maybe you were lucky with the sunlight?

As scaleman (Caleb Coleman) says, I think you were lucky with the sunlight. Very nice picture of a very famous place. I like the mountain-tops in the background: they have clouds there. It makes the photo more mystical.

Beautiful shot. Nicely layered. The ruins are accentuated because of the lighting. Very nice.

Nick this is the best one from Machu Picchu! It really shows the splendor of this place with the depth you created here.

This is an amazing picture! You took it left from the classic point of view and it is a very good choice. Sharp, bright, colourful.
It also shows well a unique feature of the site: in the afternoon, Machu Pichu is almost always under the sun although the surrounding mountains are under the clouds. It might explain in part why they built it there.

What a magnificent landscape. The shadows and light are beautiful patterns on the mountains. And Macchu Picchu itself is very natural. Like a natural part of the mountain that somehow breaks up into natural terraces at the top. The distant peaks form a great backdrop. That's what really makes this very nice, I think. The shrouded mountain tops. The ridges form a nice line, too, from Macchu Picchu to the tall peak and back and beyond. Very beautifully photographed.

This is a beautiful shot. Great contrast between the very well illuminated city and Huayna Picchu at the back. I like this composition a lot, so straight to my favourites. Well done.
If you're interested in the view as seen from Huayna, I invite you to have a look.

All of the mountain and "town" in one shot. A nice amount of mist and mountains in the back ground too.
Absoutley wonderful!
One of these days I'll get to this intriguing place.
