Peruvian Postcard Photo

Photographer’s Note

Nothing is more representative then Llamas to represent Peru, even if they are not limited to this country.
We encountered these on our second morning of the LAres trek.We left earlier from where I took first light,(http://www.trekearth.com/viewphotos.php?l=3&p=1028829) and climbed a steep slope to reach the summit of Abra Huillquijasa (4200m.) where we encountered these fellows and their owner, going to meet a group of tourists.

Quoi de plus représentatifs que les llamas pour nous faire penser au Pérou, et ce malgré que les llamas ne soient pas limités à ce pays.
Nous avons quittés le campement où j'ai pris first light (http://www.trekearth.com/viewphotos.php?l=3&p=1028829 ) et gravis une pente abrupte pour atteindre le sommet de la passe Abra Huillquijasa (4200m.) où nous avons rencontré ces animaux ainsi que leur propriétaire, en route pour rencontrer un groupe de touristes.

Hi Charles. They must have known someone was there with a camera, they have their best ribbons on ;-). Great photo. Excellent backdrop for this Llama portrait. Well captured and thanks for sharing.

Bonjour Charles,
C'est vrai que voilà une superbe carte postale, vraiment typique!
J'aime la façon dont tu as composé, avec les lamas dans le coin inférieur. J'aurais bien voulu voir un rien en plus côté ciel car le paysage est très impressionnant.

En voyant ces lamas du Pérou ça m'a fait aux escapades de Tintin et son chien Milou. Ils semblent joyeux avec ces décorations colorées aux oreilles. Une superbe carte postale en effet. Couleurs et contrastes au poil. Bien capté et bravo!

that could really sell extremely well in Cuzco as a postcard with the typical features that our stereotyped minds bear. Lovely aspect that you got the Llamas crossing the image form the right to the left by leaving the left side of the image empty. That enhances that feeling of movement.

La présence des lamas à l'avant-plan a un effet d'échelle de grandeur. La prise de vue envoie notre regard vers les montagnes à l'arrière-plan ce qui donne un effet de profondeur à la photo. La qualité de la lumière rehausse les couleurs du paysage. Bonne journée.
