This is a view from Cuzco taken from the Plaza de Armas which is the central square of this beautiful city.
Cuzco is located in the Valley of the River Urubamba, the Sacred Valley as it is named by the indigenous population, on the bottom of the Andes, maybe one of the most spectacular mountains in the world.
I wanted to post this picture to show to Danos that there are many trees around the center and in the outskirts of the city and many more flowers, not showing here but maybe I will post another picture from the downtown area.
A very attractive city, very cultural, very traditional, with great architectural elements from the Baroque and Colonial style of architecture.
The open markets with handmade souvenirs, the music concerts, the colorful fresh produce markets, the extraordinary haute cuisine and the hospitality are a few of the many qualities of the Cuzco that is definitely worth visiting.
The surroundings are as interesting as the city itself, where a great history of 3,000 years lays here in this very distinctive place founded by King Pachacutec.
The Imperial City of the Incas has preserved its religion, its structure and its unique quality and continues to fascinate every visitor.

A very good picture with three different parts; sky, forest and town. The town here shows many details with roofs and windows and a fine triangular form that leads up to the church. The parallel layer of green vegetation behind provides a good background. A very attractive capture!

Picture space allocated superbly, by the book, Eleni.
A nice part for the roof-tops over town, a green hill beyong and blue sky aloft.
Loking at details over the houses in picture, gave a bit of a glance at the way people living there.

Ciao e buona giornata

Nice view of the town built on the slopes of the green hill. I like the way the town is shaping up the hill like a triangle with the tower and the white dome its apex. The green trees contrasts well with the blue sky as well as with the predominantly white town. A well composed image, thanks for sharing.

I have read your comment and plans to the world cup. I have never attended any of them. I never go to football stadiums. Having interest for a football match watch it on television in the quietness. But I do not know that sensation seeing at the local. Generally people go in group. Concerned to Buzios I had no time to close to local people. Only a receptionist of the hotel borned in Portugal spoke with me and a portuguese owner of a restaurant. I hope you have more time than me. I think I have spent there about 3 days. Well I like your photo of Cuzco. The house facades have a mellowed tonality. Apparently the construction seems to be of good quality. Perhaps there people with more money could afford to it. The church is just overlooking on them. In the mountain nest to the cross there is a fence with people watching around. By the way how was the hotel here? Have you made frienships from this village? Warm regards. Tomi
