Big stones from the Inca era, in a corner of Cusco.
Scanned from a print, so excuse the poor quality.

hi pedro. impressive walls indeed. today, it is still on debate how these giant stones were so immaculately cut and placed on each other. one needs huge motors and cranes to carry and lift them up... that is really astonishing.

It might be scanned from a print, but it fully maintained its suggestive atmosfere. The stones are really impressive in their blue tones, and the POV is original and intriguing, making the viewer wonder what lies at the street on the right.

The milieu is magnificent. So too the color.
Yes, it is indeed a miracle how such stones have been so ornately placed.

Very nice photo, and a good quality scan, Not easy. I was also here in the time of film camera. So I have not post too many pictures from here. Maybe will post some more later.
Thanks, this is a good one, I like the blue tone and the warm color in combination.

I was looking at so many of the fine photos that you have posted - you have some marvelous wide-angle shots of churches and street scenes that I really like. These are so well composed.
But this photo caught my eye too. I was in Cusco several years ago, and it's these wonderful stone walls that stand out in my memory from that trip.
You have done an excellent job at showing their imposing stature while creating a strong dominant mood. The colour is terrific.
All the best,
