Some more notes would be good - telling us about the water below the branch. It is a very beautiful colour, and the birds are certainly very interesting. A very 'still' and sparse photo. Maybe the viewpoint could have been altered to improve it, but I don't know.

Good simlified colors.
Maybe little bit slower position with camera gives better angle for birds, but many times you loose good background, so, this looks like fine.
Just a little tuning, you can try to clone that little knot-shadow away from water (down, under knot).
Background complementary color (and of course always red) gives more attention for those strange birds.
