Yann Arthus-Bertrand Style, a photo from Ayacucho, South

Photographer's Note

Following on the same day trip out of Ayacucho which I have been showing you on the last few days, this is a picutre taken at Vishcongo. Vishcongo is a small archeological complex a few kilometers away from Vilcashuaman, the old regional inca capital.

Vishcongo, was kind of a spa for Inca nobility. Here, watr was broguht down from the mountains trhough small canals to form a puma shaped lagoon where they could bathe. The water you see in the picture is part of that lagoon.

We had climbed up to the top of the hill behind it, and I decided to use my old tamron zoom lens at its maximum to capture this scene. The first thing that came to my mind when seeing it this way was that its kind of in keeping with Yann Arthus-Bertrand's style. (famous for the book "the earth from above)

Ouuaa, c'est superbe. J'aime beaucoupo ce contraste entre un sol aride et une grosse flaque d'eau. Etonnant que la couleur de l'eau soit aussi celle de la chemise de la femme.
Bravo pour cette composition.

bravo pour cette belle image, j'aime beaucoup les moutons et j'espere que je vais en voir quelques uns. le contraste entre la terre et l'eau est saisissant.

J'aime bien le cote lumineux de cette photo, amplifie par la dominante chaude dans la couleur, c'est tres net pour une prise a plus de 450mm sans stabilisateur !

ta photo est magique !
j'adore cette scène, un troupeau qui passe tranquillement, et puis l'histoire pourrait s'arrêter là. non, tu ajoutes ce morceau de plan d'eau bleu qui change complètement la donne. comme dans un tableau. la touche de couelur supplémentaire qui fait la différence.
Moi cette photo je la trouve très onirique. avec un flou bienveillant, silcencieuse, et la vie qui passe.
bon j'arrête là.
tout ça pour dire que j'aime beaucoup ta photo.

Hi Daniel - wonderful rustic composition, the pond is well placed, if the top was cut off it would give an optical illusion of being the sky.

I think this picture is very nice, but it has the sharpness very high. The composition is great, and i like the name with this style. Yann Arthus Bertrand made an exposition in my country, with very good themes and i like his style.

Very nice, looking at the thumbnail I thought that it was a small paddle in a field. After opening the picture, WOW. Very good colors and good contrast.
The frame is divided to upper and lower that are same in shape, and I like it.
