Linda foto que nos mostra bem a aridez do lugar. Só mesmo um cacto podia sobreviver num local como esse. Tens aqui uma composição muito boa e cores muito naturais.

This wild texture is amazing with bald ridges full with sharp cliffs and only rocks. Your photo show and gives perfect clue about very hard weather condition in winter and summer too. Your way is splendid while adding cactus and deep valley together to your scene. Perfect sky and silhouettes at background. Your workshop posts are include really amazing view and details.

esta está muito bonita. Gostei da inclusão dos cactus, plantas que admiro muito. Isso deu um destaque ao buracão do Colca. Gostei da luz e o fundão, com nuvens de chuva, está muito interessante de se ver também. Fomos aqui pra ver condores, a multidão esperando e eu fui tirar fotos de cactus, de repente todo mundo começou a gritar e eu não vi nada, eles viram um único animal que voou para longe. Fui ver condores bem de pertinho, e por acaso, no caminho para as torres do paine.. Mas o lugar vale a pena de qualquer jeito.

Oi, Ney
Achei a sua tomada, realmente, impressiva. Ela é repleta de atmosferas inóspitas. De um lado, o cactus, de outro, a cadeia de montanhas que parece ser intransponível. Gostei do destaque dado ao cactus, trazendo-o para o primeiro plano, e as montanhas, que vão ficando um pouco desfocadas, para o segundo plano. Ótimo POV e enquadre. Um abraço, Consuelo

Very impressive indeed, it reminds me a lot about the sheer depth and wide expanse of the Rio Apurimac near Choququirao :)
the use of the cactus in the foreground gives a nice sense of scale.

Are you sure it's 100km wide?
Maybe you meant 100km "long" (as in, it's longest side)
if it were 100km wide for 3km deep, it' would'nt be as impressive.
It looks like that canyon on the left in Googlemaps, showing the Terrain view shows mountain tops at 5000m and the canyon bottom at 2000m, so it fits, but it's more like 5km wide, but it does look like about 100km long... :)

Hi Neyvan. Splendid photo of the Cruz del condor. I like the one in workshop with the people waiting for the condors flying. Have you seen them? I was not so lucky. It is such a wonderful place! Do the women in Chivay wear still those wonderful dresses and hats? I wonder if you know that this place was very remote and unknown until the Polish men with the kayaks (Chmielowski and friends) investigated this Canyon .
