Photographer’s Note

Monasterio de Santa Catalina is one of the most fascinating examples of colonial sacral architecture in Peru. Build in 1580 and enlarged in XVII c. looks like a separate town with it's own streets and houses.
Nuns living in the monastery were completly secluded until 1970 when the monastery was opened to the visitors.
