Photographer’s Note
In the Yanawara district in the city of Arequipa, there is a place known as the 'Mirador de Yanawara' (scenic overlook), where the Misti volcano --depicted here-- is easy to appreciate, as well as much of the city.
This place is visited a lot by tourists (as me), so certainly many pictures of the city, where the volcano can be seen, belong to this place.
The arcs are made of 'sillar' (ashlar) a volcanic stone available near Arequipa, which has a white colour.

Hello Jurgen!
I was in Arequipa in 2007, but didn't visit this place (I've seen it many times in the brochures and post-cards but couldn't find it myself during my short stay in that city).
Your picture is very good, with excellent exposure, sharpness, pov and composition! Very attractive! Very pleasant!
TFS - congratulations!
Best regards,
Neyvan
