(Series on my Trip to PERU - South America - ROAD BETWEEN AREQUIPA AND CHIVAY - From September 6th to 22nd, 2007 - # 006 !)

CARRETERA SIN FIN - ESTRADA SEM FIM - ENDLESS ROAD - STRADA SANZA FINE - ROUTE SANS FIN - In a tour bus, it took us some hours to go from AREQUIPA to CHIVAY (Distance = 150km, to the north), in the COLCA VALLEY. Volcanoes, desertland, wild animals, lakes were all part of the landscape! In this picture, one can see one of the Volcanoes - EL MISTI - a dormant one with 5,821m!

TWO other WS versions: the mountains on the right seen from the city of Arequipa and a rectangular wider view.

Terrific composition for the high mountain plain in Peru. Great colours. Fine leading line from the roadway as well.

Great shot of this fantastic country with impressive composition and depth. The distant mountains wonderful and the composition is ended wonderfully. Into the distance a winding road provides the feeling of the freedom and infinity to the photo. Great! Have a nice weekend!

Hello Ney,

What a fine pov and with the road taking a slow curve, the eyes have chance to follow it leisurely, absorbing all the details.
There is tremendous depth in this shot and a wonderful sense of space.

Hello Neyvan,
A good composition of this interesting if somewhat desolate landscape. I like the low point of view and the use of the gently curving road which disappears into the far far distance. The splendid sky makes a good foil for the brownish tones of the landscape. Superb clarity throughout. Thanks for sharing.

belle photo sur cette route qui est dans cette étendue désertique et au bout de cette étendue ces montagnes et ce beaux ciel.

Belíssima paisagem da estrada sem fim. Acho que essas curvas embelezam as fotos.As cores do céu aqui ficaram indescritíveis . Gostei da visão daquele monte solitário à esquerda .

passei por esta estrada de ônibus e como não pude parar, a foto saiu um tanto fraca, fiz um pequeno filme também em movimento. aqui a curvatura da estrada e o misti e o chachani ao fundo ficaram bem legais, dá uma noção de como esta paisagem é especial. lindo trabalho

I remember me driving there,and we spend some extra money for the panoramabus,second floor,first row.It was worth it,beause we had fantastic views like this one.
Love the loooong curve,the "Mist" and the few clouds.
