Photographers Note
If you ask me: Why I do photograph the human faces, I won't hesitate for a moment with the answer...
"Because it's the most important of the God's creation on the planet Earth"
I wouldn't even mention: The most beautiful creation as well.. It's quite obvious.
And, there are no two alike ( they resemble the structure of a snowflake - if you insist on staying romantic ?).
And, there is never ending moment of excitement upon seeing one
(yes, even my very own face, in the early morning, before shave !!!)
From the photographic point of view
Why shall I waste my precious, scarce pixels on anything else, when everything is in there
In the human face
?

Przepiekna kompozycja.
Nie tylko twarz, ale i to tlo...
Tlo jest rzecza najtrudniejsza w fotograficznej kompozycji, przynajmniej dla mnie.
Tutaj jest idealnie.
Zmeczona wieczorna buzka.

There is a lot of beauty in this photo. A lot to like. I like the look of concentration this fisherman has.
A beautiful finished of the photo as well. There is nothing I can complain about. The soft tones of the black and white is very appropriate for that "marine" photo.
One step further and you would have been taken in his fishing net! :))

Hello George,
the only "+" of the new design of TE is, perhaps, the position of the "comment/critique box" directly under the photo - so we can look as we write... LOL
I like this photo very much - in a way, it doesn't really look like your usual style, but style doesn't have that much to do with whether we like a photo or not. Perhaps a photo, first and foremost, must be in tune with something in our souls.. answer some unexpressed questions and become a thought-provoking subject.
What makes a photo be in tune with the viewer? The colour? the subject? the composition? maybe all of these taken together?
This is one of your best photos, imho... whether it IS your usual style or not.
I would argue about the "most important creation"... but I won't ;) Here I appreciate solely the art of photography.
Best wishes from very damp autumnal Moscow,
aka Fanni
