Day 17 in Peru, what a better way to end a magnificent but hard trek than to go spend 3 days on the beach? ;)
We had been told to reserve a hotel at the Máncora beach in northern Peru, a well guarded secret of trekkers & peruvians, their equivalent to Florida or the Azure Coast in terms of beaches. In fact, since it's less than 100km from the border with Equador the sea in this desertic region is much warmer than the rest of Peru and since it is isolated the touristic development is mostly internal or latino-american. No obnoxious vendors for these nice guys (and they don't inflate prices!), no Mega-hotels but villas as far as the eye can see on the long beach, and those funny Moto-taxi are just funky and kitsh :) They are everywhere in the coastal cities and as we can see from this other angle they assemble metal parts in a semi-standard frame around a motorcycle while moving and adding another motorcycle wheel. The whole thing carries the driver and 3 passengers on hole-ridden dirt roads in a funny motorcycle noise, but it surely does not cost much in gas for this taxi!

Hi Bruno,Interesting vehicle, well position for a view of the background shops , the sky is well contrasted against the rather dull earth, seems an interesting place. Thanks Tom.

Hi Bruno,
This beachfront looks like any other I've seen in less developed countries. Lots of wires, souvenir shops and low class restaurants.
hope the beach was cleaner than this looks.
Good job on the shot, the little taxi looks like a work of art with the red and white colours.
Cheers
Peter

Bruno, this could almost be somewhere in the middle east. The colors and detail are fine and the motorcycle with the cover is great.

hi, Bruno,
it is nice to see this beach photo. i like the clouds on the air, it is clean and peace. i can see these tourist stores here near to the beach, but if i can see some tourists wearing shorts, i think it will be better. your notes is very detail and let me know more about it. thanks for sharing!
J-P,
