Photographer’s Note

Talara, Peru location wise, is like the Bakersfield of California- A Desert: Hot, dry and in the middle of nowhere. These makeshift homes are by the main road that goes through the town. I was told that some families live here becuase the men and boys can hopefully join a workbus that drives through looking for labor.
