Photographer’s Note
Sometimes they ask me:
Why the people ?
Why not the nature shots… The buildings… The ‘things’ ???
And I really don’t know what to say…
Embarrassing – isn’t it ?
Sometimes I mumble under my nose:
Because I can’t shake my hand with the building…
Because I can’t share the hot soup even with the most magnificent mountain range… I can’t exchange the glances, put my arm around the shoulder, place gentle kiss on a cheek, or burst into laughing with the cloud over the meadow…
And there is one more (really embarrassing) thing
I don’t remember the model number of my camera and those funny digits on the lens…
But… I remember the name of that guy in front of me…
His name is Antonio.
And he is a working man, who will bring the money for his family at the end of the day …
BTW: Knowing the people you stand in front of - it's a much more important factor (IMHO) for a photographer than 10-point Matrix AE-L system, combined with side AF-D measure module !!!

Mocne.
Przepieknie opracowane delikatne czerwienie i szarosci.

Hello George,
My question for today: Why only 2 points?
Well, let's not break our heads with the unexplainable.
Beautiful colors. The orange, the dark and dirty background with those amazing blurred numbers. Extraordinary texture of the shirt.
Thanks!

Me again!
I like every bits of this photo. The stained shirt, the big spots of what I suspect is oil or grease, the somewhat quizzical stare of the guy inclined towards you, the numbers on the wall, the poster, the brick wall... Every bits!
I like the background as much as the foreground! And they quite fit together...
Not a usual way to take a portrait. And that's what I like the most... Food for thought...
Claire
