Photographer’s Note

Cada mañana con los primeros rayos de sol un pescador navega en su canoa por el río Samiria. Sus vidas y sus sueños dependen de lo que el bosque y el río les pueda dar.

El área que se encuentra entre los ríos Pacaya y Samiria es una extensa planicie de selva amazónica inundable que actualmente está protegida por el Parque Nacional Pacaya Samiria. El lugar también es conocido como "La selva de los espejos" por lo calmado de los ríos cuyas superficies reflejan las imágenes del bosque.

This is just beautiful!
Excellent use of colours and really knife sharp siluettes that puts things into perspective.
Soft colours and a great gradient to it.

Hi Yuri,

God I love reflections! And if there is one more thing I like more, it's probably silouettes. And if you really want to get me in a good mood, I'd say silouettes reflection at sunset.
This is just wonderful!! The water dripping from the paddle, the blue skies, the orange reflection, the dark blue in the darker parts of the picture. Good use of a polarizer - or otherwise good increase in saturation while post processing. Anyhow, wonderful!

the light and colors are amazing, the reflections on the slightly
rippled water are really wonderful and the dark silhouetted man is a terrific addition.
