Photographer’s Note
Not a spectacular photo, but seeing as I how I took this photo of the Cordillera Huayhuash from approximately 200km away (along the "highway" from Trujillo Huamachuco), from behind a dirty window, while twisting around (with some difficulty in the luggage-filled back seat of the truck) so that I could see out that side, while we were driving, on a very very rough and bouncy road, I am not entirely displeased by the results... :-)
p.s. If anyone can identify the individual mountains seen here (which are probably near Huaraz. As I say, we were some distance from these mountains, and I am not even entirely sure just where we are. San José de Porcón is the best guess, as we are near the mountain of Cerro Icchal near where that village is located, but we were not quite there yet, and the village is way down below the road, and probably 10 or 15 km from it).
