Photographer’s Note

I only got to spend about half an hour in the rather interesting town of Huanchaco on the north coast of Peru, near the city of Trujillo. So I spent most of that time wandering up and down this beach, watching the people fishing on boats made of totoro reeds (some standing up all along the beach), and watching the surfers. This isn't the greatest photo, and the sky is rather grey (as it usually is on the coast of Peru from June to December), but you can all the bars, restaurants and surf shops that line the road along the entire length of the beach in this town, which is a rather popular stopover for gringos who want to visit the less-frequented areas of Peru.
