Photographer’s Note
Natures bulldozer at work though prehaps these days its being lazy and retreating. I wonder how much has shrunk with global warming? You can just see a couple of french lads on the lower right. This is the glacier up to Artisonraju

Hi Simon - at first I was wondering why you shot so low with so much fg, then I read the note and saw the walkers, they do help in perspective, it would be interesting to compare this with a contemporary verion to see how much the bulldozer has retreated.

I'm glad you pointed out the figures - I'm not sure I'd have spotted them otherwise. and the give a good sense of scale to this majestic scene.
I like how you composed it to exclude the sky, the tight framing works well, but I think it needs a bit of a boost to the contrast. Some of the details, such as the figures, are a bit lost and boosting the contrast so that we had strong whites and blacks rather than grey would give the image a lot more impact.
Cheers,
Ben
