Photographer’s Note
As with a previous posting you don't have to give point I would preferr that.
Having retrieved the young mans body from below Yerapaju we wrapped him up and covered him with strong plastic bagging as the way down was going to be difficult.
Unfortunately as I said in the last posting related to this moment, most people see the mountain photos and other dangerous sports but never see the consequences of misfortune. Thats not to say these dangerous sports and adventures should be stopped as it is a physical and mental outlet for many men and women. It allows one to develope a strong character which stands them well lifes future hardships and gives many long lasting memories and friendship.
In a way this is for all those lost and over time forgotten. These are the sort of people that have in their way brought the human race forward with their need for exploration.

Hello Simon
La montagne n'est pas toujours un moment de plaisir. Il faut savoir la respecter et connaître au mieux ses capacités. Malgrès celà, l'accident est toujours possible.
Une photo qui fait réfléchire.

Yes, it's a sad image, and a reminder that amongst such beauty death is never far away.
It doesn't seem right to start talking about composition, but I think the icicles on the right have really added a lot to the image, framing the scene and giving it a lot of depth.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Simon,
It's a dramatic portrait of a very sad situation. Impressive... I am sorry for your buddy alpinist.
Regards, José.

Sombre indeed. I agree with everything you wrote and also with Ben's comments on the image.
