Stairs to Apolina Photo

Photographer’s Note

The province of Cajamarca is located in the North Andean zone of Peru.

Located at the feet of the mountain Santa Apolonia. Its origin goes back to the pre-Inca times.

I don't know what was going on through the architect minds ;o), the design is quite psychedelic. An example of creativity !

So, at this altitude (2730 m), you must have good physic conditions to climb to the top, but it's worth it. From the church, you have a panoramic view of the city.

Cajamarca is an historical province with diverse geography. Its nice climate and famous thermal waters make this city a tourist place.

A city of colonial architecture with strong Spanish influence. There are religious edifications from the mid 17th., century and beginning of the 18th., century.

Le cote sympa de cette image c'est ces touches de couleurs éparpillées dans l'escalier, dont la forme est par ailleurs très originale.

Bonjour Luan,
Voilà un site qui se prête à la photo. Très original, très étonnant. On dirait presque un trompe l'oeil. Il n'y a qu'une façon de marcher mais plusieurs pour monter vers les cieux.

I really like the repeating pattern of the steps you have captured, leading the eye up to the monumemt at the top. Along with the people getting on with their lives.

Belle composition, ces niveaux se superposant donnent un coté très graphique à cette image. Ces courbes sont très originales et le bleu de la chapelle très péruvien...

Belle perspective, les escaliers sont en effet un peu psycodeliques. Il semble avoir des vendeurs de souvenirs la, est que tu as vu beacoup des tourists en Cajamarca?

Ben ca c'est des escaliers qui DGLR, vraiment original et super graphique pour rehausser la bonne perspective montante. Par contre tes nuages je les trouve un peu flashy...

Assez "space" cet escalier. Je n'aurais pas cru que l'on puisse trouver un truc pareil au Pérou. Bon POV qui montre bien la perspective avec les vendeurs installés sur les côtés (les marchands du temple?), mais comm JY je trouve que tes nuages ont une drole de couleur...

Good to see this posting. I never visited this city on my journey through Peru, and I never went to the salt mines either! So I am jealous. I will have to make another trip. Your picture brings out the pattern of the stairs very well. I looks quite mesmeric and a little bit dangerous too. A good catch and well seen.

Siuper graphique ce jeu formé par ces escaliers...excellent.
Le pdv avec cettre prise montante et cette très bonne profondeur est chouette et j'aime bien les touches de couleurs jaune et bleu que l'on retrouve à différentes places.

Indeed very inventive flights of stairs here, but works so well (I wonder how you come dowstairs, though, if you are a bit lightheaded... might be even harder than going up). An excellent composition with a very fine dof and superb colours. It does give the feel of this Peruvian place.

Je viens de découvrir cette photo magnifique, qui me donne envie d'entreprendre un voyage au Pérou.l'architecture des escaliers est surprenante mais ce que j'aime le mieux c'est la disposition des personnages qui semble être conçue pour une scène de théatre ou d'opéra.
