Looking Forward Photo

Photographer’s Note

I am 45 years old, what I made in my life, I benefit from this moment of loneliness to make a point on my past and my future. Finally all seems so empty to me, my future is fuzzy and dubious... but I'm looking forward.

This is only pure fiction, but I tried to understand why she looks so lost in her thoughts, even a bit sad.

I've taken this picture on the streets of Cajamarca, you can recognize the people of this region thanks to their huge "Dallas" hat ;o).

Subtile, sensible cette etude de l'ennui au Tiers Monde (bon, c'est une interpretation...)
Le jeu entre tes couleurs modestes et vraies et la petite fiction dans ta note est exquis.
j'aime beaucoup.

Salut Luan, J'aime beaucoup cette image simple et forte. Le regard de la femme est très touchant et effectivement on se pose plein de question sur sa vie. C'est ça aussi qui fait une excellent photo. J'aime aussi beaucoup ta composition. Simplement super! Sabine
J'ose à peine le dire au maître mais j'étais curieuse de voir une image un peu plus serrée, donc j'ai posté le résultat dans un WS. J'espère que tu me pardonnes.

Hi Luan,
I really like this one. This photo reminds me the way I remember Peru. The composition is very good with that rough wall behind the woman brings the right atmosphere to the scene. I think it is just a little bit tilted clockwise. Good note.

Belle composition avec ce regard qui est tournée vers le présent, futur, non certainement le passé vu la fiction.
Cette femme de part ses habits colorés et chapeaux se détachent superbement bien de ce riste mur, plein de détails.

Salut Luan, excellent fiction for an excellent shot.
simple, easy, but fantastic. a woman sitted along a nude wall, with only a 45.

C'est simple, bien compose et touchant, bien cropppe aussi en gardant un peu du rebord du trottoir, ca manque un peu de lumiere pour faire ressortir les couleurs de ses vetements mais je comprends qu'elle prefere rester a l'ombre !

A wonder ful shot here, such simplicity. The wall montone of the wall really bring out thecolours of the womans clothing. There are also a lot of textures in this image which is very insterting.
As she's looking to left, to me this reflects the past. So she's reflecting on the hard times of the past..

je sais ce qu'elle pense ... "Zut voilà Luan ... va me taxer tout mon riz ce petit saligaud ! Faisons comme si je ne le voyais pas !"
je trouvais ce jeu de lignes horizontales pas mal, mais le WS se Sabine m'a fait changer d'avis, cela resserre plus la photo sur le sujet. le manque de lumiere n'est pas trop genant car il rajoute une note triste.

C'est marrant comme souvent sur les photos du Pérou, on y voit la population dans des positions assises..Mais ils sont si souvent assis??

I really like the traditional garb. Its so colorful, and very interesting that people still wear it on a daily basis. The wall in the back works nicely, all those chinks and scrapes and scratches match well the aged face of this person.

Bonjour Luan,
Un cliché tout en émotion, une pointe de tristesse(?), mais un réalisme certain.
C'est intéressant de l'avoir captée de profil, cela ajoute à l'atmosphère du cliché.

Ben je l'avais pas vu passé celle-là....
J'aime beaucoup la "simplicité" de cette image avec ce grand espace vide avec ce mur défréchi et cette femme dans le bord regardant dans le sens de l'image.
Ta note est excellente je trouve, c'est bien pensé.
Elle a un petit côté poétique ta compo et ces couleurs sont superbes, j'aime bien ce petit effet délavé, ca lui va à merveille.
Très bien vu.

Dis donc, tu te mets à la prédiction philosophique?? Devra-t-on t'appeler Maître (ou Professeur) Vi Luan, héritier de pouvoir transcendants permettant de lire la pensée d'autrui? Joli compo en tout cas. Les couleurs de ses ahbits ressortent bien sur l'arrière plan gris. Le chapeau, ben, tu l'as dis: j'ai pensé tout de suite que c'était JR Ewing déguisé

your peruan photos are really something;
they are showing a slice of Peru just the way I am imaginating it.
this photo is very particular to me; I like the whole composition with woman situated in the lower right corner, asymmetry that really works here. also one nice detail to me is her vivid colorfulness agains grey wall.
