Day 102: Huaraz, Peru

I took this photo in city of Huaraz. It might look a bit more harsh than it actually was. There was some kind of celebration going on and lots of kids playing instruments etc. I spotted soldier with a gun and I liked the shadows but later I realised there was something else that really makes this photo stand out. I named this photo “silent rebellion” – you probably know why. One of my favourite photos!

Dia 102: Huaraz, Perú

Tomé esta foto en la ciudad de Huaraz. Puede ser que parezca un poco más duro que estaba realmente. Había una celebración que se encendía, y porciones de niños que tocaban los instrumentos etc. Noté este soldado con un arma y me guste las sombras tambien. Realicé más adelante que había el algo más que hace esta foto mas grande. Llamo esta foto “rebelión silenciosa” –probablemente sabes por qué. Una de mis fotos favoritos!

Excellent juxtaposition between the girls and the soldier. You also have great small details, like the one sock that isn't pulled up, almost at the center. Finally you really have a nice balance between the shadows and the color. I mean you can still see the color of the girls dresses, even though they are in shade. Well done
